How to get your child support payments back in Ohio

UPDATE: 8:50 p.m.

A court order issued Thursday to shut down a statewide child support Web portal has blocked access to the site for the past five hours, Ohio Child Support Agency spokesman David Kucera said.

Kucera confirmed that the order has been signed by Judge Paul L. Murguia in the Cleveland suburb of Euclid.

The judge is also the father of a 7-year-old boy.KUCERERA: This is the first time that we’ve had to issue a ruling blocking access to this site for a period of time.

We’re still in the process of preparing the appeal.

The state of Ohio is a party to this case.

The court order does not affect the child support enforcement, Kuceria said.

The order was filed Thursday, and it has been blocked since March 25.

The agency is continuing to work on getting the site back online.

The website will reopen shortly after midnight Thursday.
