Now it appears that FIFA may not have a definitive date on when it will make its official announcement.
Speaking to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday, FIFA chief Joseph Blatter indicated that the website would not be ready until after the 2018 World Cup, but that there is a chance that it could be ready in 2019.FIFA is in talks with various websites to develop the 2022 official website, Blatter said, but no final decision has been made yet.
The World Cup is a global event that will take place in Russia from June 10-15, 2022.
The host country will be chosen by the FIFA congress on June 26, with a date set for the start of the tournament.
Fifa’s congress is scheduled to convene in July 2018.
