Posted September 28, 2019 15:03:31 The latest iPhone software update may not include support for the internet, a software developer has warned.
The app, which was originally designed for Apple’s iOS app store, is now only available in Google Play, and the new version of the app does not support accessing the internet.
Developer and researcher Kevin Burdick has told the ABC that he found the lack of support for mobile internet access to be a “huge” bug.
“I’ve been able to reproduce a couple of issues with this update, where you can’t do anything with the app,” he said.
Mr Burdrick said he had previously found a similar issue with Apple’s Android software.
Apple has been criticised for not being able to update its iOS app to support the latest versions of the iPhone and iPad.
In August, it was revealed that the latest version of its mobile app had a bug that would allow users to access content that was blocked on the Apple App Store.
When the bug was fixed, the app was also unavailable on Google Play.
However, Google did not offer a solution for Mr Burdicks.
According to Apple, the software update is expected to be released later this month.
